Since its conception, the show has taken many turns through workshops at Central School of Speech and Drama in July 2007 (with students of Paul Barker), and with postgraduate students at the Royal Academy of Music in August 2008 (with students of Mary Hammond and Karen Rabinowitz). The next stage was working with ex-RAM students Alison Guill, Adam Linstead, Will Barrett, Adam Davenport and pianist Bob Broad to record some of the more intimate and personal sections of the story. Dan Byrne sang a version of the song “Welcome to My World” with lyrics by Clive Burton, which was entered for Mercury Musical Developments' Stephen Sondheim Song Competition.
Apart from the above, many other people have also helped to develop the show - Keith Field, Robin Mukherjee, Richard Voyce and Jenifer Toksvig; just to name a few. We are grateful to all the wonderful Musical Theatre students, the Associates at Mercury Musical Development and everyone who have collaborated on and contributed to this project so far.
